Global IT research and advisory company, Gartner, recently identified its top 10 strategic technology trends for 2016. These are trends that are expected to make a significant impact on businesses across the world this year. The trends do include 3D printing, the Internet of Things platforms, and in the same vein, the device mesh, whereby devices – mobiles, wearable technology, home electronics, vehicles or environmental devices are all interlinked.
Commenting on Gartner’s predictions, Lucas Blake said: “The way that technology and the world operates as a whole will shift entirely and much of the current technology will either have to integrate or it will become redundant. The same is, in many ways, true of businesses. By observing the strategic trends of 2016 any business can direct its strategy in an effective way.”
